What are the initial licensing requirements in my state? 
Obtain 625 education hours, pass a Board-approved licensing exam (MBLEX , NCBTMB, CESI) and the Oregon Jurisprudence (law) exam, submit a fingerprint background check, send a copy of school transcripts, submit a passport-style photograph, send a copy of current Basic Life Support certification and a list of three references. 

What are the licensing renewal requirements in my state? 
Licenses must be renewed every two years. Show proof of 25 hours of CE. Eight CE hours must be supervised (4 of which must be in either professional ethics, boundaries, or communication). One CE hour must be in cultural competency. One-time requirement: A one-hour pain management course.

The Oregon Board of Massage Therapists issued final rules that increase massage therapy fees by about 35 percent.

The Oregon State Board of Massage Therapists proposed new massage therapy rules that would allow licensees to perform external pelvic floor massage. Submit your comments in support of, or opposition to, the rules before October 31, 2022.

The new rules were approved May 13, 2022, and will become effective July 1, 2022. The rules affect the following areas: board member stipends and duties, definitions, continuing education requirements, and communicable disease control measures.
