Insurance first
Proof of liability insurance is required before submitting an initial license application. 

What are other initial licensing requirements in my state?
Obtain 1,000 education hours, pass a Board-approved exam, complete an official HIV training workshop, show proof of current CPR, submit a criminal background check, and show proof of liability insurance. 

What are the licensing renewal requirements in my state?
Licenses must be renewed every three years. Show proof of 30 hours of CE. 20 CE hours must be completed in person.
