What are the initial licensing requirements in my state?
Obtain 600 education hours, pass a Board-approved exam (MBLEx, NCBTMB, or NESL), send a copy of school transcripts, submit a criminal background check, and send proof of CPR certification.
What are the licensing renewal requirements in my state?
Licenses must be renewed every odd-numbered year. Show proof of 24 hours of CE. 16 CE hours must be contact hours, 4 CE hours must be in ethics, and 2 CE hours must be in recognizing and reporting child abuse.
