What are the initial licensing requirements in my state?
Obtain 650 education hours, pass the MBLEx or NCBTMB exam, submit proof of CPR training, and send a passport-style photograph. 

What are the licensing renewal requirements in my state? 
Licenses must be renewed every two years. Show proof of 16 hours of CE. Four CE hours must be in ethics. Eight CE hours must be in-person training. 

Are some practitioners exempt from licensure?
Hispanic traditional healers, Native American healers, reflexologists (whose practices are limited to hands, feet and ears), practitioners of polarity, Trager approach, Feldenkrais method, craniosacral therapy, Rolfing structural integration, reiki, ortho-bionomy or ch'i gung. Practitioners of healing modalities who do not manipulate the soft tissues for therapeutic purposes.
