What are the initial licensing requirements in my state?
Obtain 750 education hours and pass the MBLEx exam.
What are the licensing renewal requirements in my state?
Licenses must be renewed every two years. Show proof of 12 hours of CE. Extra CE hours cannot be rolled over into the next renewal cycle.
Are some practitioners exempt from licensure?
The Feldenkrais method of somatic education, the Trager approach to movement education, the Alexander technique, and body-mind centering.

The New Hampshire legislature introduced House Bill 341, which would create massage therapy establishment licensing. The bill is being heard by the Executive Departments and Administration Committee (Committee) at 10:45 a.m. EST on January 25. If you are opposed to establishment licensure, ABMP encourages you to advocate and speak your mind by emailing your opinions to the Committee.
