What are the initial licensing requirements in my state?
Obtain 500 education hours, pass a Board-approved exam (MBLEx, NCBTMB, MSPL, ABTE, or NESL), submit a fingerprint background check, send proof of current CPR training and a completed communicable diseases course, and submit a copy of school transcripts.
What are the licensing renewal requirements in my state?
Licenses must be renewed every year. Show proof of 12 hours of CE. CE hours must include Mississippi law, 3 CE hours must be in ethics, and 3 CE hours must be in CPR/First Aid.

House Bill No. 1263 passed this legislative session, and the included provisions require an amendment to the Mississippi State Board of Massage Therapy Rules and Regulations. The Mississippi legislature passed Senate Bill 2751 this session, requiring the Mississippi State Board of Massage Therapy to develop guidelines for massage establishment registration. The initial registration fee is $50 and it must be paid to the Board no later than January 1, 2022.
