Insurance first
Proof of liability insurance is required before submitting an initial license application. 

What are the other initial licensing requirements in my state? 
Obtain 650 education hours and submit proof of liability insurance. For applications submitted after January 1, 2027, receive a passing score on a Board-approved exam. 

What are the licensing renewal requirements in my state?
Licenses must be renewed every year. Show proof of 3 hours of CE.  

Are some practitioners exempt from licensure? 
Persons who use touch, words, or directed movement to deepen awareness of patterns of movement in the body, or the affectation of the human energy system or acupoints or Qi meridians of the human body. Practices include: Feldenkrais method, reflexology, Trager approach, Ayurvedic therapies, Rolf structural integration, polarity therapies, Asian bodywork therapy, acupressure, Jin Shin Do, Qi Gong, Tui Na, Shiatsu, and Reiki.
