What are the initial licensing requirements in my state? 
Obtain 625 education hours, pass the MBLEx or NCBTMB exam, submit a fingerprint background check, send a copy of your transcript and course catalogue, and show proof of current CPR. 

What are the licensing renewal requirements in my state? 
Licenses must be renewed every even-numbered year between September 1 and August 31. Show proof of 24 hours of CE. Three CE hours must be in ethics (taken in a classroom or online), 9 CE hours must be core credits (taken in a classroom hands-on setting), and 12 CE hours must be elective or core credits (may be taken online). Online Courses cannot make up more than 50% of your total CE hours.
