What are the initial licensing requirements in my state? 
Obtain 500 education hours, pass the MBLEx or NCBTMB exam, submit a passport-style photo, send a copy of your school transcript, show proof of current CPR, and submit a criminal background check.  

What are the licensing renewal requirements in my state?
Licenses must be renewed every odd-numbered year. Submit a background check and show proof of 14 hours of CE. Three CE hours must be in ethics, 2 CE hours must be in LGBTQ cultural competency, and 9 CE hours must be in massage-related course work (6 of which must be in massage technique courses). Submit proof of 1.5 hours of Public Health Priorities current CPR certification. 

Are some practitioners exempt from licensure?
Energy healing and touch limited to feet and hands.
